The Team

Johna - owner / kids lead instructor

Johna has 10+ years in the fitness and sports industry. During a successful division 1 college soccer career, Johna quickly found her passion for working with kids through sport and fitness and accumulated a range of experience while coaching soccer across the country as well as personal training and CrossFit coaching in the US and abroad.

After a life on the field and in the gym, Johna entered the classroom to impact kids on a different level. Throughout her experience as a teacher in three countries, Johna picked up cycling as a means of self-care, but through long rides and good tunes, Seven Cycle was born.

Kennedy - lead instructor

Kennedy found her passion for indoor cycling in 2018 and after riding in over 600 classes, decided to pursue instructing. After receiving her 100 hour certification, she continued on to start instructing in 2019 and has been doing so ever since with over 350 classes taught. She leaned in even further in 2021 when she became an instructor trainer. Through 2021 and 2022, she had the pleasure of training over 20 people in their 100-hour cycling certification course. Then, in 2022, Kennedy also received her personal training certification from NASM to further her knowledge of safe and effective fitness. She believes that physical fitness, at its simplest, is about showing up for yourself. Her goal is to make movement enjoyable while cultivating an environment that focuses on practice over perfection.

Emmy - instructor

Emmy was born and raised in Nashville, living most of her life not 10 minutes from Seven Studio. Growing up, she never truly felt like an athlete and devoted her time to performing classic rock music all across North America. She fell in love with fitness and found her inner athlete through cycling in 2019. Ultimately, she pursued her goal of becoming a cycling instructor, and she has been instructing since June 2021.

Emmy combines her love for music and movement on the podium and hopes to create a space for movement to be healing through the belief that intentional movement is the best way to unite your body and soul. Emmy was honored to be a finalist for Nashville Fit Magazine’s 2022 top spin instructor and couldn’t be more grateful for the community that cycling has provided for her. She is so excited to be a part of Seven Studio and give back the love cycling has poured into her.

Rae - instructor

Rae first started finding clarity in movement when she became a rock climbing guide in college. Her jumbled mind seemed to find peace in the chaos of breath and sweat, and she’s never gone back. She strongly believes that you should not be scared of your own strength, and will hype you up until you see your full potential. Usually the loudest person in the room, you’ll never not hear her encouraging words. She found cycling in 2018, and immediately was hooked. When every class is basically a raging party, how could you not have fun?! When she’s not dancing around like a lunatic, Rae works as a Customer Success Manager for a digital health company based in Europe. In her free time, you can find her outside rock climbing, adventuring with her two wonder pups, or making bomb smoothies (not lying, she makes really f*cking good smoothies).

Hailey has been instructing for over a year now and is eager to continue riding alongside and learning from amazing people, through community we get better together.

Ali - instructor

Ali has a deep love of fitness and firmly believes that it should not be a punishment for what your body can’t do, but rather a celebration of all the amazing things it is capable of. After becoming a CPT in 2020, she started work as a group fitness bootcamp instructor, then went on to complete spin instructor training where she continued to be a fitness leader & hype girl for her community.

Ali has been cycling for 4 years but outside of that, you can also find her running, biking, rowing, swimming, dancing, or weight lifting! Ali also shares her passion of self love by working as a hairstylist! Making others feel their best brings her great joy.

In a class from Ali at SEVEN, you can expect heavy pushes, sick beats, sing-a-longs to pop punk songs, and a feeling of empowerment from completing something challenging while laughing & having fun!
